Letter From Our President
My name is Terisa Roemer, and I am honored to step into the role of President for the Stillwater Area Fastpitch Association (SAFA). Having been a part of this community for the past eight years as a coach and Board member, I have seen firsthand the incredible dedication of our volunteers and young athletes in the program.
I would first like to extend a sincere thank you to Damen Lobinski, Jeff Boser, Jen Stoltenow, Mike Gray, Andy Dombrovski and Mike Meyer for their service and dedication over the years to SAFA. I would also like to extend a warm welcome and thank you to the newly appointed SAFA board: Carly Wagner (12U Coordinator), Kristina Massey (10U Coordinator), Kyle Kraemer (8U Coordinator), Tom Sebo (14U Coordinator), Dawn Oppelt (Treasurer), Nicole Wriskey (Secretary), Joe Schneider (Field and Umpire Coordinator) and Brad Horstman (Member At Large).
My primary goal as president is to foster a safe, fun, and competitive environment for our players to develop softball skills, learn the value of teamwork and build character on and off the field. I believe in transparency, open communication, and collaboration to achieve this. I am excited to work with you all to build on the successes of the past and make this our best season yet.
Some top priorities this year include:
• Maximize the Experience | Prioritize how we deliver the best possible experience, especially on the field, from the evaluation process to increased feedback mechanisms at the end of season.
• Increased Transparency and Consistency | Ensure open communication and accountability from every volunteer board member and coach, while continuing to follow the SAFA philosophy focused on player development and fun.
• More Support for Coach and Player Development | Utilize support systems and resources for all coaches to improve the quality of practice and game experiences.
